“Ritual Objects In Clay” is a show exploring ceramic forms that might be observed in a real or imagined religious rite or ceremony. While the teapot in a Japanese tea ceremony is one of the most obvious uses of ceramics, this show will explore multiple facets of clay in ritual. This may include idols, funerary urns, amulets & shields, mortar and pestle, to objects of meditation. The show is free and will be on display until Sunday the 27th of January.

Come get your locally crafted ceramic gifts at our annual Holiday Sale. We will have both functional and sculptural art. The show starts on first Friday of December 7th. Friday hours are 5pm-9:30pm and Saturday hours are 10am-3:30pm. This year a cooperative gallery was built by 10 local ceramic artists, and so we will feature some new artists, along side the clay center’s artists and friends. The artists attending are: Abby Dennis, Alexa Adamson, Andrew Huddleston, , Ben Jackson, Cris Rivas, Chris DePrez, Dani Pugel, Erin Case, Jeff Bremer, Kenny Sprinkle, Rebecca Ito, Rita Jackson, Ryan VanHoy, Sam Welch, Sharon Gardner, Staci DeBolt, Stephen Creech, and Tim Compton.
